Chapter 6 (Commonalities & Variations)

While reading Chapter 6, I found it interesting when it read, " At the broadcast level, human cultures evolved in quite similar fashion around the world." I found this quote to be interesting because although people were spread across the world people still lived the same life styles while everything was still evolving. Another quote that caught my attention was, "All of course, were part of that grand process of human migration that initially peopled he planet." This caught my attention because it had me thinking that we wouldn't be here where we are today if earlier humans didn't decide to migrate all over the world. If you truly think about it, if earlier humans didn't migrate we would be living a totally different lifestyle. Lastly, "The world's human population was then distributed very unevenly across the three giant continents" was interesting because i had no idea that it was spread unevenly across the three giantt continents. I would have that it would have been an even mixture so that they could start there own ways of living by making new traditions, cultures, rules, and structures.
