Chapter 3 Documents

While reading chapter 3 documents, I found it interesting when it read, "But through war, commerce, the migration of peoples, the spread of religions, and sheer geographic proximity, some of those peoples became sharply aware of one another." I found this quote to be interesting because with all that had happen we became closer together and had an idea of where people came from and what their beliefs were. Another quote that caught my attention was, "Such encounters with strangers have long been an important motor of change in human history, as forgien ideas, dieases, goods, technologies, and military challeneges required adjustment in established ways of living." This caught my attention because it has you think about the past and how people had to go through different obstacles and new ideas for us to be were we are in society today.
