Chapter 10 (The Worlds of Christendom)
While reading Chapter 10, I found it interesting when it read, "In early centuries and beyond, the Christian movement was rent by theologicalical controversy and political division." I found this quote to be interesting because I didn't know that the Christian movement was that way in the past, because in today's society it is all religion and ones beliefs. Another quote that caught my attention was, "This mounting enthusiasm for ration inquiry stimulated European scholars to seek out original Greek texts, particularly those of Aristole." This caught my attention because many classes today use Greek text to teach others about the past. If you truly think about it, many students have done research and done papers on Aristole, so alot of what he wrote was useful and meaningful. Lastly, "Byzantine religious culture also spread widely among Slavic-speaking peoples in the Balkans and Russia" was interesting because its amazing how ones culture can spread so widely in the past.
